Sebastian Neville-Clarke’s practice comprises commercial and common law work. It includes banking disputes, commercial fraud, all areas of contract law, financial services, insurance, sale of goods, property litigation, planning and professional negligence.
He has acted for and against local authorities, employers, contractors and consultants, in particular on large developments and building cases, including, in the public arena, those arising from the development of Regent Street, the refurbishment of Piccadilly Circus underground station, and the construction of Newport Hospital on the Isle of Wight. He has been instructed in numerous cases requiring the understanding of complex mechanical and electrical works, manufacturing and operating processes.
He has considerable experience of leading multidisciplinary teams through to completion of complex litigation, and of judicial review.
Sebastian Neville-Clarke also has substantial experience of acting as a legal assessor in the medical and accountancy arenas.
Sebastian Neville-Clarke is an experienced presenter of consultancy group in-house seminars and of open seminars on the duties of an expert and on the preparation and giving of expert evidence for court, arbitration and adjudication (including video-recorded practical training sessions on examination in court).He is a regular lecturer for major professional training companies, including on planning law and boundary disputes. He contributes to Chambers client bulletins and to the New Law Journal in his core practice areas.
