IBC Legal’s 12th Annual Conference: Construction Law Summer School 2012

William Godwin has been invited to speak at the forthcoming Construction Law Summer School 2012.

His topic will be: ‘Civil code: The common law key differences’ and key areas of focus will include:

  • Is there such a thing as ‘civil law’?
  • Key differences in substance: Contract v. mandatory rules, penalties and liquidates damages, good faith, force majeure
  • Key procedural differences: Court-appointed ‘neutral’ experts, evidence

The conference will take the form of a three-day residential forum that is aimed at equipping legal practitioners with the very latest developments and legal changes affecting the construction and engineering industry. It will focus on international initiatives, standards in best practice and the latest trends.

The conference will be attended by lawyers and professionals in the construction law arena as well as officials from regulation authorities across the globe.
